Election Fever Grips Ghanaians - Dr Remedy 2024

Feature Article Election Fever Grips Ghanaians - Dr Remedy 2024
TUE, 30 APR 2024 LISTEN

With the current political climate and the charged Ghanaian political arena, one would expect that the key players in that space (the average Ghanaian voter) would be bombarded with remedies that can enforce or help with their decision making process, but it seems the Elephant party is taking shelter under the Umbrella and therefore afraid to even pick a running mate for their candidate.

The Ghanaian voter today holds their future in their hands , and should Ghana be able to recalibrate and put itself on that developmental track that can help elevate our people into the 21st century , then the Ghanaian voter must beginning asking itself these hard questions:-

  1. How much (money) would it take to improve our health care system , by building and equipping hospitals in all the 16 regions of the country , ensuring that medical equipment such as dialysis machines, etc are functioning all across country and affordable to all.
  2. What would it cost to build durable road networks that would connect all the regional centers together and help reduce transportation cost from Farming communities to urban centers around the country??
  3. What will the financial cost be should government decide to subsidise Petroleum products, so fuel prices can remain stable and cost of living can become more bearable for all Ghanaians ?
  4. What could be the financial implications of shaking up the Judiciary, and building a new justice system from scratch so that our patriotic service to country can be the forefront of our development as a country ?
  5. Accountability and probity becoming the hallmark of all Ghanaians regardless of which religion, political party or tribe , being enshrined in our educational system so much as the next generation can make us all proud .

The above questions are just to name a few so that every voter can begin to ask himself or herself if the monies that has been wasted in the past 7yrs (according to media reports of all the various scandals , loans, daylight robbery , etc etc ) could not have answered even one of the above questions.

Those that say Ghana is sick , must know that the remedy for Ghana’s ailment does not lay in the hands of its leaders, but in every voters hands and therefore in an election year as this , empowering the voting public with the facts is what can bring the needed change . Too many Ghanaians today are so drunk with party politics that even when party’s actions are destroying the very fabric of our society , they turn a blind eye and allow the rot to consume us all, and this must stop .

Ghana needs a wake up call , and hopefully 2024 elections would put an end to the old status quo of giving money and food items for voters would no longer wash , because Assin North has paved the way for voters to know that you can take any item or money they offer but voting for what is right is what you would do . The chatter amongst the international community in Ghana seem to clearly show that Ghana today has a vibrant youth able to think through issues and make informed decisions, so the December elections is a must watch for all to see if the right thing would be done by the Ghanaian voter .

God bless Ghana and all those that wish Ghana well
