Dreams FC has announced it will open free access to a bigger portion of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for its crunch Confederation Cup semi-final second-leg tie against Egyptian giants Zamalek this weekend.

The Still Believe lads will host the six-time African champions[with five Champions League titles and one Confederation Cup title] in Kumasi on Sunday, April 28, with the winner progressing to the final of Africa's second-tier club competition.

And in a bid to generate massive support and help the debutants script history, management of Dreams has decided to offer free entry to the popular stands and centre line stands area.

"The management of Dreams Football Club has accepted a recommendation to make access to majority portions of the stadium for its return leg CAF Confederation Cup semi-final clash against Zamalek free of charge," a statement from the club read in part.

It added: "Consequently, the popular and centre line stands of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the game on Sunday, April 28, 2024, will be free."

However, tickets for the VIP and VIPP stands are pegged at GHS20 and GHS50 respectively "to satisfy security and safety requirements."

If Dreams can overcome the Egyptian champions on home soil, they will become the third Ghanaian club after Hearts of Oak and Kotoko to reach the final of Africa's second-tier inter-club competition.

The club urged Ghanaians to "gather in large numbers at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to support the team as they strive to achieve a historic qualification for the grand finale."

Dreams hold a slim advantage having secured a commendable 0-0 draw in the first leg in Cairo and will be bankin on the vociferous home support to power them into the record books with a final berth on Sunday.
