Hearts of Oak icon, Charles Taylor, has criticized Richard Attah for his subpar performances with the Ghana Premier League club, branding him a significant liability for the Phobians.

His remarks come after Attah conceded two shocking goals against Legon Cities over the weekend at the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu in the Matchday 27 games.

Taylor, known for his outspoken nature, didn't hold back in his assessment of Attah's form, highlighting the goalkeeper's struggles with fitness at the start of the season and his subsequent efforts to regain his position.

“When we are talking about Hearts of Oak issues, we don’t hate anyone. The form you are in is not good; work on it,” Taylor told Angel TV.

“The kind of goalkeeping Richard Attah is doing, I feel it is better when they are playing with an empty post. I’ve said it all and I am done.”

With multiple Ghana Premier League titles and a CAF Champions League victory under his belt, Taylor suggested that Hearts of Oak should consider playing without a goalkeeper rather than relying on Attah's performances.

Hearts of Oak is currently enduring a challenging stretch, having lost four of their last five games.

The club has also struggled with consistency in their goalkeeper selection, reflecting broader issues within the team over the past two seasons.

The Phobians will hope to return to winning ways when they face Accra Lions in the Matchday 28 games at the Accra Sports Stadium.
