The paramount chief of Twifu Hemang Traditional Area, Otumfuo Amoah Sasraku III is faulting the Attorney General’s department for simmering tension in his traditional area.

According to the Chief, the Attorney General’s politicization and deliberate delays in the case in which the NPP’s Parliamentary candidate for Hemang Lower Denkyira, Bright Wereko Brobbey is standing trial for allegedly aiding and abetting the theft of 1,201 bags of fertilizers is diving his people.

At a news conference at Twifu Hemang, the Chief called on the Attorney General to ensure that justice is served properly devoid of malice to avert a potential conflict in the area.

Mr. Wereko Brobbey was alleged to have aided and abetted the stealing of 1,201 bags of fertilizers for his primaries - which he eventually won - and brought before the Cape Coast Court in June 2015.

Since then, the case has suffered several adjournments which the chief says is the handiwork of the Attorney General’s department.

The paramount chief of the Twifu Hemang Traditional area, Otumfuo Amoah Sasraku III IN whose jurisdiction the constituency falls says there are several agitations already and tension in the constituency has begun rising

According to the chief, when justice is stifled and an unfair playing ground is created in any competition, the end result is violence.

The chief is appealing to the Attorney General to be as neutral as possible and expedite action to bring finality on the case that is threatening his traditional area.
