Ho, June 30, GNA - The Ho Township Evangelical Presbyterian Joint Women Bible Class has presented assorted items valued at GHȼ2,500.00 to the Ho Central Prisons.
The items include bread, bags of rice, sugar, cooking oil, toilet rolls and used clothing.
The Reverend Mrs E. Stella Adjei, the Ho East Presbytery Bible Class Facilitator, who presented the items said the gesture was in line with the Church's social obligation of supporting the vulnerable and less privileged.
She commended the authorities at the Prisons for their care of the inmates and encouraged them not to relent in their efforts at reforming the inmates to be socially fit.
The Superintendent of Prisons, Ernest Amenyedzi, who received the items, expressed gratitude to the Bible Class and the E.P. Church for the support.
He said the presentation was timely in addressing the feeding and other needs of the inmates. GNA
