Eugene Arhin is a blessing to us — Awutu Senya DCE

District Chief Executive (DCE), for Awutu Senya, Hon Moses Arhinful Acquah

The District Chief Executive (DCE), for Awutu Senya, Hon Moses Arhinful Acquah, has described the 2024 New Patriotic Party's (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the area, Mr Eugene Arhin, as a blessing to the people.

According to the DCE, Mr Arhin has done so much for the Awutu Senya West Constituency through advocacy or personal investment of resources into development projects.

"I am not the one to talk about the role the youmg man played in facilitating the construction of the Ofaalor-Bawjiase and Akoji Junnction-Senya Beraku Roads because we all heard the President loud and clear when he visited the constituency in 2022," he said.

He made this remark at his office in Awutu Beraku when he received a group of opinion leaders who called on him on Friday.

Mr Arhinful Acquah said before the NPP parliamentary candidate was given the nod to contest on the ticket of the party, he had already executed landmark projects that no single individual had ever done in the constituency.

"Mr Arhin is on record to have built a library and ICT Centre and stocked it with books and computers in Beraku here so has he built a three-unit classroom block for the pupils of Obodakaba from scratch," he disclosed.

He lightened up the already beaming faces of his guests when he made mention of the office accommodation Mr Arhin provided for Senya District Police Command.

"If I say he is a blessing to all of us, it is not just because of these projects I mentioned; my candidate, your candidate, Awutu Senya West people's candidate has done more than this but I want to talk about the latest ones," he continued.

That, he disclosed Mr Arhin has lobbied the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) to start the construction of an AstroTurf at Senya Beraku, which he said would play a critical role in unearthing football talents.

According to the DCE, Mr Arhin has leveraged his close working relationship with the President to lobby for Awutu Senya West Constituency the Awutu Beraku Market which is currently under construction.

He said the market, which is a two-storey building will contain 48 shops and 64 stores, adding that, "it will be an important facility for the town, since it is the district capital and the old market is not big enough to contain all the market women."

"The Bawjiase Lorry Park that you see being paved is neither done by the District Assembly nor any government agency; it is being funded by the young man through his Foundation, that is, The Eugene Arhin Foundation," he said.

He, however, noted that his greatest problem is Awutu Beraku town roads because they are not tarred.

He said Eugene Arhin has assured him that he would ensure they are tarred by the end of the year.
