In his dedication to holding environmental offenders accountable, Bishop Dr. George Nii Aryeh, a renowned man of God based in Winneba, Central Region, emphasized the necessity for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to enforce environmental regulations rigorously.

In an exclusive telephone interview from Winneba, the founder and leader of Rivers of Life Ministry International expressed dismay at the disregard some Ghanaians show towards the country's environment, citing examples such as unlawful noise pollution from churches, evangelists, and herbalists as significant concerns.

Bishop Aryeh lamented the lack of strict enforcement of existing environmental laws, allowing individuals to treat the environment as they please.

He criticized the selective targeting of drivers and road users for vehicle emissions while ignoring other major contributors to environmental pollution, such as wee smokers, butchers, and charcoal producers.

The clergyman urged the Environmental Protection Agency to fulfill its mandate and enforce environmental laws effectively for the country's benefit. Highlighting the dangers of environmental pollution, he raised concerns about noise pollution from churches, which he claimed has adverse effects, particularly on individuals with health conditions like hypertension.

Bishop Dr. Aryeh stressed the importance of prioritizing environmental issues for the country's development and citizens' well-being. He called on relevant authorities to enforce environmental laws to mitigate environmental offenses effectively.
