Running mate to the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has indicated that the next NDC government will go after anyone who has contributed to the destruction of the country.

According to him, the government of John Dramani Mahama, if the NDC wins the 2024 general election, will ensure all officials of the NPP government who participated in the plunder of the state are held accountable.

“John and I have agreed, that whoever has participated in the plunder of the state must be held accountable. This is not a threat; it is a promise, premised on the wishes of our citizens across the various political and social divides, and hinged on the principle of accountability,” Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang said.

She was delivering a speech at her official outdooring ceremony as the running mate for John Dramani Mahama.

In that speech, the former Minister of Education kicked against nepotism and cronyism, insisting that it has contributed to the current state of the country.

“Let us face the facts: The promotion of ethnocentric elitism masquerading as intellectualism; nepotism cloaked as know-how; weakness strutting as courage; and crony capitalism masked as development in freedom; shameless hypocrisy acting as objectivity… these never served a country determined to make progress at any level,” she bemoaned.

Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang further called on Ghanaians to vote out the NPP in the 2024 General Election and bring the NDC to power for John Dramani Mahama to correct the wrongs and Build the Ghana everyone wants.
