Founder of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe has indicated that his outfit will never be affected by the love and support Senior Vice President Kofi Bentil has for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Early this year, Mr. Bentil who is a key member of IMANI publicly expressed his support for the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, arguing that Dr. Bawumia deserves to be given a chance to serve as president.

Amid the current persistent, irregular, and unpredictable electric power outages being experienced in the country, Kofi Bentil has been called out to rally for a demonstration as was done during the erstwhile Mahama administration.

Some Ghanaians have argued that he has not led any demonstration because of his support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

This has seen IMANI African being blasted by some Ghanaians for not organisation any demonstration.

Getting involved to set the records straight, IMANI Africa founder Franklin Cudjoe has explained that the protest led by Kofi Bentil during the Mahama administration had nothing to do with IMANI.

According to him, it is important for Ghanaians to understand that the support and love Kofi Bentil has for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia does not represent IMANI.

“As far as the unrelated matter of my tagging Kofi, Kofi's association with IMANI and Bawumia goes, the matter is essentially settled. Kofi's love, respect and support for Bawumia and any other candidate, as long as is done with decorum, tact and factual, does not, has never and will never represent IMANI,” Franklin Cudjoe said in a post on Facebook.
