Education Service conditions: You've till May 31 or else...– CETAG tells govt
APR 23, 2024 LISTEN

The Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) has issued an ultimatum to government, for a resolution of the service conditions of its members.

Expressing frustration over government's delay in implementing the National Labour Commission's (NLC) Arbitral Award Orders and negotiated service conditions, the association, wants government to resolve its grievances by Friday, 31 May, 2024.

Among the demands put forward by CETAG is the compensation of each member with one month's salary for additional duties performed in 2022, alongside other unresolved issues.

Addressing journalists in Accra on Monday, 22 April 2024, the National President of CETAG, Dr Prince Obeng-Himah, underscored the urgency of their demands.

He emphasised that failure to address their concerns by the specified date will prompt the association to explore alternative actions.
