The Agona West NPP Parliamentary candidate for the 2024 General Elections, Mr. Chris Arthur had embarked on series of visits to express his appreciation for his impressive victory in the just ended Parliamentary primaries.
Termed as 'Aseda' visit, Mr. Chris Arthur last Thursday visited traders at Agona Swedru Yam Market at Taxi Rank, the Central Market as well as the Mandela Market to thank them for unflinching support they exhibited his during his candidature to contest the race.
He was grateful for their prayers and support which gingered his campaign Team to work extra harder adding that the team was encouraged by the massive amount of support it received from the Market Women.
Mr. Chris Arthur acknowledged the zeal with which they stood up to rally firmly behind him in the wake of intimidation and other negative acts that were going round in some circles against his candidature.
He noted that though most of the market traders were not delegates, they were able to convinced a good number of delegates to vote for him to rescue the NPP from its near collapse.
Addressing the Market Women at their various locations, Mr. Chris Arthur took the opportunity to called on the women to continue with their unflinching support for the NPP adding that the constituency would surely win the December 7th General Elections with His Excellency Alhaji Dr Muhamudu Bawumia as President of the Republic of Ghana, and he (Chris Arthur) as the Member of Parliament for Agona West.
" Breaking the 8 is everybody's business, let come together as one big family with a common goal of retaining the Agona West Parliamentary Seat with Chris Arthur and His Excellency Alhaji Dr Muhamudu Bawumia as President.
We must come together to make NPP more attractive to the electorate who are the kingmakers in our democratic process. The battle ahead of us is not going to be easy one but am of the high hopes that choosing me as your Parliamentary candidate will never be in vain.
Let me use this opportunity to tell our political opponents, the NDC to take notice that Chris Arthur is a hard nut to crack. It will be better for their Parliamentary candidate to step down from the contest because she is no match under the candidature of Chris Arthur as NPP Parliamentary candidate. You underrate Chris Arthur at your own peril," Mr. Chris Arthur cautioned.
The Parliamentary candidate called on supports and non supporters of the NPP including members of the NDC and other political parties to come and join the winning team to change the fortune of the Constituency.
The visit is expected to reach mosque and Churches in the Agona West constituency on a similar mission
