2024 elections: ‘Just 5 questions to the aspirants and I can tell who Ghana’s next president should be’ — Michael Blackson

US-based Ghanaian comedian Michael Blackson has revealed the strategy he thinks he can adopt to predict who among the presidential aspirants is best suited to lead the nation ahead of the December 7, polls.

He said he would need to interview the aspirants and pose five questions to each of them, and by doing so, he can predict who should lead the country.

"Ghana the only way I can help you pick who should be the next president is if I get to interview Mahama, Bawumia and the interrupter himself Cheddar lol. Just 5 questions to each of them and I'll be able to tell you who to trust," he wrote in a post on X on Wednesday, April 24.

In a similar post on Tuesday, the Hollywood star urged Ghanaians to choose wisely and accept and support whoever becomes president after the polls so the country can become great again.

He acknowledged that the country is facing many challenges beyond just economic hardships and needs a better leader to address them.

"Ghana you have 3 choices in this upcoming election, NPP, NDC or one of the independent guys. You have to choose wisely. Regardless of the hardship, Ghana has a lot of potential unlike most countries in West Africa," he wrote in a post on Tuesday, April 23.

Meanwhile, according to many observers, the upcoming polls is shaping up to be a close race between the former president and opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Other independent candidates like Nana Kwame Cheddar of the New Force movement and Alan Kyerematen of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change are also contesting to end the duopoly of the NDC and NPP.
