Renowned Ghanaian singer and songwriter Kofi Kinaata has vowed that his much anticipated Made in Taadi concert will take place this year despite previous cancellations.

In an interview on Hitz FM's Daybreak Hitz show, Kinaata expressed his determination to organize the concert this Christmas seaso.

“As for this year by hook or crook, the event must come on because my fans were not happy with me last year,” he said.

He further indicated that he bears significant personal cost to make the concert a reality for his fans in Takoradi.

“Even when I don’t get sponsorship, I pay for the cost of flight, and accommodation of musicians who travel from Accra to come and perform in Takoradi,” Kinaata stated.

The singer also noted that he sacrifices other lucrative shows and sometimes operates the concert at a loss just to give back to his fanbase.

“I sometimes cancel shows that will give me a lot of money to organize Made is Taadi. And I sometimes run at a loss," he said.

Made in Taadi which brings top Ghanaian musicians together for a free Christmas concert has been cancelled the past two years due to unforeseen circumstances much to the disappointment of fans in Takoradi.
