The Ghana Football Association Vice President George Afriyie says under fire Black Stars coach Avram Grant will be investigated for appearing on Sky Sports in United Kingdom without the permission of the federation.

Grant, who is reported to be on monitoring mission, made an appearance on Sky Sports as a pundit a day after 2017 Africa Cup of Nations draw which he failed to attend.

This earned him a lot of criticism on social media and in the mainstream media, although apparently Grant was on to discuss the tough draw meted out to the senior national team.

''Grant was not scheduled to travel to Gabon, nothing like Grant was supposed to be in Gabon and he is there, No! I was there myself and I can count eight of the 16 federations who were present,'' Afriyie told Joy FM

''Per the FA and Avram Grant program, Grant was to continue his monitioring process and t submit his list 14 days before the game against Egypt,''

''I was told he[Grant] made an appearance on Sky Sports which is not part of his program and I can tell you the federation will investigate it'' He concluded

Grant is reeling under pressure to win fans over after the country's shaky start in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

The team face a must win clash against Egypt next month in Alexandria to get their campaign back on the right track before next year's Africa Cup of Nations where they will square off with Egypt, Uganda and Mali in the group phase.
