The Ghana Premier League is set to reap a mega-sponsorship deal from an unknown Turkish outfit reported to be in a region of US$ 44 million over a 12-year period.

The novel deal includes the payment of salaries for players, coaches and backroom staff of the clubs.

It is being brokered by Sports Cul Ghana Limited whose director Emmanuel Asante told the Graphic Sports there would be a minimum wage of GH¢ 2,000 in the league.

Coaches are expected to receive between GH¢ 5,000 and GH¢ 10,000 a month depending on their badges.

Referees will also benefit from the package with an amount of GH¢ 3,000 to be paid to each official while clubs who qualify to participate in the continental club competitions would be supported with US$ 400,000.

The deal will make financial support of GH¢ 50,000 to clubs to held upgrade their training pitches after an assessment of facilities available to the clubs.

An initial three-year deal is expected to be sealed in February.
