Boxer Gulley Cudjoe who had been struck by stroke has appealed to the general and sporting public to support him financially as he is finding life difficult.

Top Boxing Referee Roger Barnor who spoke on behalf of Cudjoe said the boxer had been incapacitated for some time and now things are getting worse so they have to come out and appeal to the boxing fraternity.

He said Gulley Cudjoe was a disciplined boxer who fought in the Bantamweight after he moved from the Super Fly and Flyweight.

The exciting boxer fought from the gym of Black Panters owned by the late Emmanuel Tagoe aka Coack Akesi.

Gulley who also had the ambition of winning a world title often trained under Coach George who also worked with Akesi at the Black Panthers Gym at James Town.

Some of the boxers produced from the Black Panthers Gym are the Clottey brothers, Osumanu Yaya, Osumanu Akaba, Stephen Okine, Ben Ankrah aka Congo Soldier, Emmanuel Tagoe, the Game Boy and others including Kick Boxers.

Referee Barnor said any gift and donation in cash or kind to Gulley Cudjoe is welcome.
