Ghana winger, Abdul Fatawu says he feels amazing to celebrate Leicester City's return to the Premier League with the fans.

The 20-year-old played a pivotal role as the Foxes secured promotion to the Premier League.

During his loan spell at the King Power Stadium, Issahaku scored six goals and provided 13 assists.

Celebrating their success, the former Dreams FC winger could hardly explain what celebrating with the Blue Army meant to him as City received the trophy.

"What a day!" he told the club website. "It feels so amazing. This is so special. I can’t explain how I’m feeling right now, it’s so amazing. I’m so happy. I love to make the supporters happy because they are here for us. I just try to dance to make it more fun!

"As I always say, it’s a special thing for me. I can’t forget this day. This is something special for me in my career. We thank God for everything," he added.

Meanwhile, Leicester City has reportedly activated the €17 million buy option clause to secure Issahaku's permanent transfer.

This move is set to benefit Issahaku's first club, Steadfast FC, co-owned by Ghanaian politician Haruna Iddirsu, which is expected to receive €7.9 million from the transfer fee.

Steadfast FC initially sold the winger to Sporting Lisbon in 2022 for $1.5 million, with a 50% sell-on clause included in his contract.
