Berekum Chelsea head coach, Samuel Boadu has backed Dreams FC to win the ongoing CAF Confederations Cup.

The Ghana Premier League remain the only Ghanaian side participating in the CAF inter-club competition after Medeama SC got eliminated from the Champions League.

Dreams FC will face Stade Malien in the quarterfinals of the ongoing competition at the Stade du 26 Mars on Sunday with kick-off scheduled at 17:00GMT.

Ahead of the game, Boadu expressed confidence in the team and backed Karim Zito and his side to annex the ultimate.

“I know Dreams FC to be a good team, especially Karim Zito who is my father in coaching,” the former Hearts of Oak gaffer told Akoma FM.

He further added, “It is my hope Dreams FC wins the CAF Confederation Cup so that we can get additional slots.”

Dreams FC, who are making their debut in the CAF inter-club competition aim to progress to the semi-finals, seeking to replicate the success of Hearts of Oak, the sole Ghanaian team to have clinched the Confederations Cup, achieving this feat in their debut campaign.
