Dear Sir,

Permit me to congratulate you for conceding defeat yesterday by placing that timely call to president Elect Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo. You did not only make us who believe in your dreams proud but Ghana and Africa as a whole. To me your political evolution is an envious one which will be a reference to anyone who will want to be truthful to history.

You did your best to your country and brought new life to the presidency. From how you relate with your colleague leaders at the International level to how you were welcoming to the ordinary Ghanaian on our street is one thing many will remember you for.

You did not only served Ghana with humility and passion but the world felt the love you have for your fellow human being as a person.

I remember how you were vilified for allowing some refugees from the G.bay to come and spend their last sentence in Ghana, I remember your commitment to the progress of all west African nations when you were the chairman of Ecowas. I remember how dedicated you were in combating the deadly Ebola in some African countries.

For the found memories of your tenure it will live with me for long.

From an assemblyman to member of Parliament to deputy minister to minister to vice president and finally to president is an awesome track record.

You went to work as vice president one day just as destiny will put it you came back that same day as president.

I love president mills of blessed memory but I must admit you made me love him more. Your commitment and dedication not forgetting loyalty to the good old prof was something I truly cherish.

The Ghanaian voter has spoken and their choice is they needed a new change to happen to the direction of their country and I respect my fellow country men and women for that.

I never had the opportunity to get closer to you but even from a distance as a citizen i felt the zeal and passion you possess in making Ghana a better place for us all.

History will not forget you and i know a moment will come in our lives where your achievement will spark controversy and argument just like those of Kwame Nkrumah our first president.

You are not a saint, you had your low point as a president but then you gave us your best and I particularly appreciate every bit of your leadership.

Thank you for restoring us back to the country we were before you became president, the tension was just too much.

I believe people can not go about their duties without fears of a possible anarchy.

We came together, we faced the challenges together, we achieve whatever you achieved together so are we together with you even as you officially leave office next year 7th January.

May history never forget you
