Managers of Ghana’s economy not different from managers of Manchester United; both are clueless – Dr. John Kwakye

The Director of Research at the Institute of Economic Affairs ((IEA), Dr. John Kwakye has drawn comparison between the managers of the Ghanaian economy and English Premier League side Manchester United.

According to him, managers of the Ghanaian economy and managers of the English club are not different.

He said they are both clueless in what they are paid to do.

In a post on X, Dr. John Kwakye argued that they have completely failed.

“It seems to me that the managers of Ghana’s economy are like the managers of Manchester United. Both seem clueless in addressing the problems confronting them, although the solutions are far from rocket science,” Dr. John Kwakye said in his post.

Dr. John Kwakye has been vocal in calling on government to take steps to address the problems confronting the Ghanaian economy.

He insists that the current state of the economy is worsening the hardships on Ghanaians and must be addressed.

Manchester United on the other hand have struggled to compete in the English Premier League this season.

On Monday night, the team was put to the sword by Crystal Palace in a 4-0 defeat.
