You whine too much; focus and exercise your powers – Sammy Gyamfi to Kissi Agyebeng

National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has hit out at the Special Prosecutor, Lawyer Kissi Agyebeng, over what he describes as over-lamentation.

Speaking to TV3 during a discussion on the case involving former Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Cecilia Dapaah, Sammy Gyamfi urged the Special Prosecutor to stop whining and exercise his powers to do his work.

“He was whining and lamenting too much, you are a creation of law, exercise your powers and you are here singing ‘ankonam’, Sammy Gyamfi said.

According to the NDC National Communications Officer, Kissi Agyebeng could have handled the case involving Cecilia Dapaah better.

He argued that the Special Prosecutor should tell the public the findings of the collaboration with the FBI in the Cecilia Dapaah case.

“Kissi Agyebeng announced that a search was being done but he couldn’t make the findings public. In referring Cecilia Dapaah to EOCO he should have at least added the findings that he made through that search. He even told us he collaborated with the FBI, what were his findings? That is a missing link,” Sammy Gyamfi stressed.

In the latest on the Cecilia Dapaah case, the Special Prosecutor has referred it to EOCO for investigation on money laundering.

However, the Attorney General has kicked against the move, insisting that the reason backing the Special Prosecutor’s referral is baseless.
