The coming Armageddon: The end of the NPP is insight
02.05.2024 LISTEN

Coming events, they say cast their shadows. Our elders say “He whom the gods want to destroy, they first make them mad”. The recently held by election in the Ejisu constituency must be of a great worry and concern to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

On the surface, the NPP may have retained the seat, but in actual sense the party has lost the elections and must be extremely worried about the results that emanates from the elections.

The independent candidate Ing, Kwabena Owusu Aduomi pulled an impressive 21,534 representing 43.3 % of the total valid votes, whiles the NPP candidate Mr. Kwabena Boateng pulled 27,782 votes representing 55.8% of the total vote cast.

During the 2020 general elections, the NPP’s parliamentary candidate, the late Hon. John Kumah pulled 68,724 votes representing 82.08 %. Admittedly, by elections usually records lower turn out, however, moving from 82.08% to 55.08% in their stronghold is a sign of the gods ready to strike the elephant fraternity. They may ascribe all other reasons and factors, the fact still remains that the NPP has become unattractive.

Ing, Aduami was up against the entire government machinery, the president, vice president, and the entire national, Ashanti regional and Ejisu constituency executives of the NPP were in Ejisu, and this is the output of their activities, it signals the beginning of the end of the NPP.

The party machinery was in motion with unlimited resources and up against an individual, who has limited resources, yet the party’s vote percentage dropped from 82.02% to 55.08%, this is a sign of coming of a significant event.

If the level of vote buying witnessed in the Ejisu by election could not help the party to at least retain its 2020 vote percentage in its stronghold, it is a clear indication of how unattractive and unpopular the NPP have become.

The National chairman of the NPP Mr. Stephen Ntim has observed and admitted the declining fortunes of the party, and intelligently stated that he will personally bring all aggrieved parties back to the party. He said the result was bad for the NPP and they must start the process of reconciliation. This is too little too late. The die is cast, the people are now awake and discerning, they are rejecting the NPP due to corruption, nepotism, arrogance, economic challenges and the wanton capture of state assets.

The future is pregnant with shocks, 2024 will be the beginning of the coming Armageddon, a day of reckoning and a day of damnation for the NPP. Their arrogance and disrespect towards Ghanaians is coming to an end.

On the 7th of December, 2024, some forces will come face to face with God’s own people, as God’s people, let’s unite and defeat the forces of evil that are destroying this country and its future.
