To secure its longterm security should Israel ignore all calls for ceasefire until it eliminates Hamas totally?

Dear critical-reader the question to ponder over is: To secure its longterm security and ensure the overall well-being and welfare of its citizens, should Israel ignore all calls for ceasefire, until it finally eliminates Hamas totally?

Although hard to take, the brutal truth is that the citizenry of nations at war (both Civvy Street demographics and military demographics), are targeted in all wars, regardless of what the edicts of international conventions on war are - meaning that citizens can be targeted, and, either be captured as hostages, injured, maimed permanently or killed.

That is the nature of all wars, lol. That is why nothing, including international opprobrium, should be allowed to stand in the way of the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) accomplishing their assigned strategic mission of eliminating Hamas completely.

Where the battles to do so occur is irrelevant. The blame for all the suffering being endured by innocent Palestinian civilians and innocent Israeli civilians, ought to assigned to Hamas alone, not to the IDF that is only acting in self defence, after all.

It matters not a whit, therefore, what protesting college students worldwide, do or say, publicly, in what is an existential fight for Israel's survival and long-term security. Israel must perforce ignore all calls for a ceasefire until it eliminates Hamas totally.

In the fullness of time, all lost hostages murdered in cold blood by Hamas while in captivity, will be seen as national heroes who sacrificed their lives to keep Israel safe from Hamas. Above all, the rest of Israel's many enemies across the planet, will learn useful lessons from the total pulverisation of Hamas's military infrastructure - both above and below ground - as well as the annihilation of Hamas as an effective terrorist group, by the IDF. Full stop. Case closed.
