Member of Parliament (MP) for Hohoe and Minister of Railway Development, John Peter Amewu, has lost his mother.
Mrs. Gertrude Anani Amewu, born in 1930, died some days back at the age of 96, according to the Minister.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, April 25, the minister eulogized her late mother, describing her as the kindest person he has ever known.
The minister has asked for privacy for himself and his family as they grieve the tremendous loss.
He also requested prayers during this difficult time.
“My lovely mum; Mrs. Gertrude Anani Amewu also known as "Don't Worry" sadly passed away a few days ago. She was the kindest person in the world and made me who I am today.
We're taking some time as a family to grieve her loss and we ask for your prayers in this difficult moment. May the good Lord rest her gentle soul and bless her lineage. Thank you,” his post read.
