The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has disclosed that parts of the Greater Accra Region have experienced power outages due to Tuesday's heavy rainstorm.

In a public announcement, ECG indicated the downpour caused disruptions within its distribution network serving customers in the capital.

"The heavy rainstorm experienced today, Tuesday, 23rd April, 2024 has caused outages within the distribution network," the power distributor stated.

ECG apologized for the inconvenience and assured affected customers that engineers have been deployed to restore power.

"Customers should please note that our Engineers are working assiduously to restore power supply to affected customers," the statement further said.

Residents experiencing blackouts were advised to contact ECG's call center on 0302611611 or visit the nearest office to report any faults.

"Customers experiencing outages within their areas should kindly contact our call center on 0302611611, report to the nearest ECG office or reach us on our social media handles @ECGghOfficial," it added.
