May this year’s Easter leave us with fond memories, good cheer and glad tidings – Bawumia

Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has wished all Christians in the country a happy Easter celebration.

In a post shared on Facebook, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) prayed that the celebration come with fond memories, good cheer and glad tidings.

“Today marks the beginning of a momentous event on the Christian calendar, Easter. This occasion brings to us a time to unite, reflect on, and appreciate the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to humanity and the values he embodies. That of mercy, love, and selflessness.

“Samira and I extend our fervent greetings this Easter to all Christians. May the celebrations leave us with fond memories, good cheer and glad tidings. Happy Easter,” Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia said in his post.

In a similar post on Facebook, President Akufo-Addo prayed that on the occasion to remember the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, may his blood heal Ghana and cleanse the people of their iniquities.

“On behalf of my beautiful wife, Rebecca, my children and family and on behalf of government, I wish all Ghanaians a Happy Easter with the hope that the blood spilt on the cross will heal our land and cleanse us of our iniquities,” President Akufo-Addo said.

President Akufo-Addo further admonished Ghanaians to drive carefully on the roads and keep the nation in their prayers at all times.

He said, “Let us again enjoy our Easter conventions, parties, picnics, and the traditional Kwahu Easter Festivities.”
