Outages in Kwabenya, Pokuase caused by reduced power supply from GRIDCo – ECG

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has explained the power outages in Kwabenya, Pokuase Township and its surrounding areas today.

In a notice, the ECG said lights are off in these areas because the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has reduced power supply to its Pokuase Bulk Supply Point.

“The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited wishes to inform our cherished customers and the general public that the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has reduced power supply to our Pokuase Bulk Supply Point, resulting in outages in the following areas:

“Kwabenya, Agbogba, Mayera, Part of Teiman, Ayi Mensah, Katapor, Top Herbal, Bohye, Abloradjei, Pure Water, Pokuase Township, Fountain Gate, and surrounding areas,” parts of the notice issued on Thursday, March 28, said.

In the notice, ECG assured that power will be restored to all affected customers in these areas once GRIDCO turns on supply.
