One of Ghana's leading music promoters, Nii Ofori Tackie, known popularly as Alordia, CEO of Alordia Promotions and organiser of the Ghana Music Awards UK has weighed in on the debate on whether or not a Ghanaian singer can currently fill the O2 Arena in London.

He believes Ghanaian artist King Promise has the drawing power currently to fill the iconic 20,000-capacity event centre, but the same can't be said for rising star Black Sherif.

In an interview with Accra-based JoyPrime TV, Alordia gave his assessment of whether the two Ghanaian acts have what it takes to sell out the famous venue in the British capital.

He explained that while both acts are hugely popular in Ghana and have growing international fanbases, King Promise's style of music and larger body of hit songs puts him in a better position currently to attract the type of crowds needed to fill the vast O2 Arena.

"Now as we speak, Black Sherif, no, King Promise can even get more cloud in London than Black Sherif right now," said Alordia.

He further clarified that such comments doesn't mean he hates any artist but is geared towards preparing them for the right time to avoid embarrassment that may stem from their inability to fill the venue like their Nigerian colleagues.

"Sometimes when you talk about it, people will say you hate them, or you don't like our artists. We love them but I will never go there and it won't be filled up and people will say 'look at the Ghanaians, they can not do it'. We have to wait for the right time to hit that nail," Alordia explained.

Meanwhile, Alordia is on record having said in 2022 that Black Sherif can fill the O2 Arena because his music was everywhere.
