‘Your career is dead’ — Davido hits back at Wizkid for trolling him

Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has responded to his industry rival and colleague Wizkid for trolling him on social media.

The latter, in a series of social media posts in the early hours of Monday, April 29, took a swipe at some Nigerian industry giants including Don Jazzy, whom he termed as an influencer, Davido and others.

In one of the posts, he posted a video which recently circulated purportedly capturing Davido on his knees and begging a woman for sex.

In a response in the late hours of Monday, Davido said things like this are why he stopped wasting his millions of dollars in endorsement deals on Wizkid.

He further noted that Wizkid’s career, which was already dead, was resurrected just to die again.

"That’s what I thought. Nothing to say! Exactly why I stopped wasting my clout and jeopardizing my millions of US dollars in endorsements on someone whose career was resurrected a few years ago just to die again. NEXT!," he wrote.

In response, Wizkid jabbed that he can retire from singing today, yet Davido can never be at his level.

"I got nothing to say to u, my boy! I can retire today and you still not on my level. You be an influencer with a songwriter. Wish u well," he wrote.
