The perceived rancor between the Youth and Sports Ministry and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is set to heighten in the coming days.

The two parties have engaged in verbal attacks on various media platforms which has generated argument among the sporting public.

Last week, the Premier League Board (PLB) reacted swiftly to the Sector Minister’s assertion that the domestic league is not attractive enough.

The latest jab from the Ministry which emerged yesterday was a statement that it (Ministry) was cash trapped and cannot foot the bill for the Black Stars Nations Cup last qualifier against Rwanda next week should the foreign-based players fly down.

The Minister has as a result suggested that the GFA engage the services of the local components of the Black Stars, who have a minute representation in the team, since Ghana has already booked its ticket for the Gabon championship next year.

However, the FA is of the view that the Rwanda clash offers coach Avram Grant yet another opportunity to critically access the team ahead of their World Cup qualifiers later this year.

Already, the Ghana's Israeli trainer has extended invitation to the foreign based players for the Rwandan clash and indications are that he is not aware of the latest from the Minister.

Meanwhile, it has also emerged from the corridors of the country's football governing body, GFA that the Ministry has a confidant among the 22 Executive Committee members who leaks information from their meetings to the Sector.
