Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuje, the Minister of Youth and Sports has sent a goodwill message to Isaac Dogboe ahead of his World title fight on Friday, August 26, 2016.

Nii Van P as he is also known on behalf of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, the Government and the people of Ghana, is wishing Dogboe the best of luck, as he prepares to take on Philippines Neil John Tabanao in the WBO Unification and WBC Youth World Featherweight Championship in Ghana, at the police officers social and fitness centre, ring road central.

A release from the Sports Ministry, signed on behalf of the Sports Minister by the Head, Public Relations, Mr. Otor Plahar, Nii Vanderpuye urged Dogboe to tackle the game with a positive attitude.

"With the right mindset, nothing should be beyond you, go all out till you emerge victorious."

The Minister said, "You should prepare your mind adequately and renew your spirit of conviction towards the competition. Boxing is a game of tact and flair and this is the way you should go."

"Play it fair and obey the rules of the game and in the end, I know you will be victorious" he noted.

Vanderpuye urged his trainer and father, Paul Dogboe to ensure that his son is well-conditioned and in the right frame of mind ahead of the competition.

Hon Vanderpuje who is a trained sports journalist also loves boxing very much. He was a ring announcer for a long time before venturing into politics.
