Bernard Mensah played his first match for Atlético Madrid on Saturday in the 2-0 win over Numancia the fourth edition of the Jesús Gil y Gil Memorial Trophy.
The Ghana international substituted Juanfran on 70 minutes of the match.
Compatriot Thomas Partey who was handed a starting line up, was replaced at half time.
Mensah was signed last season from Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes but was quickly loaned out to Getafe.
But the 20-year-old had disappointing spell which saw him play just 53 minutes.
