FIFA President Sepp Blatter has congratulated GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi on his re-election to serve another term on CAF's executive Committee, insisting that the feat is a sign of the good work he has done for the continental body.

Blatter, the leader of the world football governing body, said Nyantakyi's reelection is a clear vote of confidence in his ability from the African football community.

The FIFA President wrote the letter to the leader of Ghana's FA on Thursday after he secured a second term in office with CAF this week.

Nyantakyi was re-elected unopposed on Tuesday to serve another four-years on the Executive Committee of CAF.

“As FIFA President and on behalf of the worldwide football family, I would like to congratulate you on your re-election to the CAF Executive Committee for the period 2015 - 2019, ” Blatter wrote in the letter.

“This title represents a great honour for you and it is a clear sign of confidence from the African Football community in your abilities, skills and experience.'

Blatter said FIFA looks forward to a continued friendship and cooperation in the governance of football in Africa and the world, taking into cognizance Nyantakyi's passion to serve the game in Africa.

“I would also like to take the opportunity to thank you for the commitment and passion you have shown in serving the African and world football community,” Blatter said.

“Once again, please accept my sincere congratulations and very best wishes for every success and much satisfaction in your new term of office.”

Nyantakyi will serve on CAF's Executive Committee from April 2015 till April 2019.
