adb rewards customers who use MTN mobile money

Accra, Aug. 3, GNA - Customers of Agricultural Development Bank (adb) who transact business in this month of August using MTN Mobile Money would be rewarded with specially branded gifts from the bank.

"MTN Mobile Money is a fast, simple, convenient, secure and an affordable way of transferring money, making payments and doing other transactions using a mobile phone."

Mr Solomon Adu Atefoe, Head of e-business and Cards Services at adb, said this in a press release on the theme "Let's go cashless with MTN mobile money" and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra.

He said the aim of the reward was to improve the usage of electronic platforms for payments and to minimize the use of physical cash in the day-to-day transactions of the general public, especially for adb customers.

"We hope to use this period to create awareness and also promote the objective of reducing the use of physical cash by our customers in their daily transactions,' he said.

Mr Atefoe advised customers to use MTN Mobile Money to send and receive money, top-up MTN airtime, pay bills such as DStv, Electricity of Ghana and MTN Postpaid.

He said it could also be used for the payment of School fees, buy and pay for insurance, pay employee salaries, pay for airline tickets and other goods safely and conveniently on their mobile phones.

"Merchants and subscribers can access end to end MTN Mobile Money services at any of the 78 branches of the bank across the country."

Mr Atefoe urged existing customers to take full advantage of the promotion period to win the prizes and asked new customers to register with valid photo identification cards from now onwards to enjoy the ease and convenience Mobile Money offers.
