A group of NDC footsoldiers are hitting the streets today in protest of the Supreme Court sentencing of the Montie contemnors.

Salifu Maase popularly known as ‘Mugabe’ of Montie FM was slapped with a four-month jail term with two others after being convicted in a contempt case.

Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako Gunn all belonging to the ruling NDC threatened the life of judges on live radio.

But the angry NDC members say they want the president to grant the contemnors a presidential pardon.

Spokesperson of the group, Hajia Fati told Starr News “we will converge at obra spot at Circle this morning and march to the party headquarters, we want the President to intervene on the sentence handed over to the trio".

Meanwhile, the NDC has in a statement described the four-month jail term handed to the three as harsh and shocking.
