UoG inaugurates pensioner's office

Accra, July 23, GNA - Prof Ernest Aryeetey, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana (UoG), has inaugurated the University of Ghana Pensioners Association's (UGPA) Office on the Legon campus.

He said the decision to release Bungalow No.24 in the East Legon to the Association was due to the challenges faced by the Association.

Mr Emmanuel Asagba, the Chairman of UGPA, said the Association was established in September 1984 and was formed to cater for the needs of members.

He expressed gratitude to the University and the Vice Chancellor for the new office provided saying over the years, they had struggled to find an appropriate meeting place.

In attendance were Mrs Mercy Haizel Ashia, Registrar of University of Ghana and Mrs Stella Amoah, the Director of Public Relations and members of UGPA pensioners.
