Getting Our Hands Dirty

Getting Our Hands Dirty
23.07.2016 LISTEN

Getting our hands dirty is what the Christian life is all about. If our Lord Jesus could leave the portals of glory in heaven, the praise of the angels, and the presence of the Father to come down on earth to die on the cross to save us, who are we to refuse to get our hands dirty? The Christian life which involves evangelism is a messy and dirty work. Therefore, if one does not want to get his/her hands dirty then one cannot be a follower of Christ. Our world today is in trouble because many Christians do not want to get their hands dirty. That is sad. Many churches are also dying because the members do not want to get their hands dirty.

Is it not sad that today many churches and denominations have cut back on their support of International Missions? Is it a wonder that we are inundated with terrorism? Now that we have to sponsor those who have risked their family and their own lives to take the gospel to others overseas, we are not giving sacrificially to support them. I am afraid some of the missionaries who have already made tremendous sacrifices have to come back home because churches and individuals are not giving to support them. I am of the view that now is the time for us to give generously to support international missions so that many can be a part of the Great Commission and the world would hear the good news that only Christ can provide.
