Heads of Schools In Nzema thank President Mahama over Buses

Nkroful(W/R),June 30,,,GNA- Heads of some Second cycle schools in the Nzema area have extended their heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency,President John Dramani Mahama for making buses available to ensure a smooth running of the schools.

According to them,the government buses have come at a time most of the schools are in dire need of them to facilitate their shuttle services as most of the buses at their disposal had developed mechanical faults and were virtually not working.

The headmistress of the Nkroful Agricultural Senior High School(NASS),Madam Esther Armah-Viddah conveyed these sentiments in an interview with the Ghana News Agency(GNA) at Nkroful in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.

The Ministry of Education(MOE) recently presented 300 buses and 200 Manhindra pick-ups to second cycle institutions in the country as part of government,s avowed commitment towards good quality education delivery .

Among the beneficiary schools in Nzema land are the Nkroful Agricultural Senior High,the Esiama Secondary Technical, all in the Ellembelle District,Annor Adjei Senior High in the jomoro District ,the Axim Girls Vocational Insatitute and Gwiraman Community Day School at Bamiango in the Nzema-East Municipality.

Madam Viddah said prior to the supply of the buses,their buses were broken down as such they were hiring buses for the running of the school which was a drain on the coffers of the school.

Therefore,through the instrumentality of the Member of Parliament(MP) for Ellembelle ,Mr. Emmanuel Arma-Kofi Buah and the District Education directorate, the government buses came in as a relief.

The headmistress observed that the bus will facilitate the movement of students and staff to excursions thereby boosting educational programmes in the area.

For her part,the headmistress of the Gwiraman Community Senior High School,Madam Comfort Opoku congratulated President Mahama for supplying buses to the school.

She said the buses will ease the burden of transportation and further boost educational programmes in the area. She used the occasion to thank the President for the establishment of the Gwiraman Community school to afford children in the area the opportunity to benefit from education.

Madam Opoku was cocksure that government will always come to the aid of the school whenever the need arises.
