"If I Were A Ghanaian Lady..."

If I Were A Ghanaian Lady...
31.05.2016 LISTEN

Dedication - To my lovely elder sisters, Amy and Amanda Buah.

Everybody knows that I am a guy; at least, my pseudonym "Sir Article" validates it. However, call me "Madam Article" for the purposes of this femalelike piece of writing. Well, 3 feminine write-ups of mine, namely "A Letter to my Ideal Woman," "I Need a Wife, not a Girlfriend," and "I Love Women but I Hate Girls," have demonstrated my burning desire to help the progress of Ghanaian ladies. And "If I Were a Ghanaian Lady..." also seeks to positively influence the thoughts and actions of Ghanaian ladies in our contemporary world today. But please spare me the ordeal of insults if my intellectually objective pronouncements sound so offensive. After all, I am only fantasising about being a Ghanaian lady and how I would live as such. Nothing more, nothing less.

Now let us figure out who the typical Ghanaian lady is. There are exceptions though! Besides, the typical Ghanaian lady may be as beautiful as the rainbow but her lifestyle may be awkward. She may be materialistic to say the least while she has little regard for the struggles of today. The average Ghanaian lady may be sexually immoral. I mean, she has probably defiled her pure feminity. Hey, the guys are actually not to blame because such ladies have depraved minds which fall prey to the lust of bad guys. Also, she may place a premium on schooling, yet she fails to operate with optimum common sense in various facets of life. Need I say more?

So if I were I Ghanaian lady, I would forcefully do the following. I would cling on to purity, integrity and decency in everyday life. I would date or spend my marital life with the ideal gentleman; a guy who is virtuous, responsible, admirable, smart, excellently skilled, really wise and reveres our culture. I would strive to educate my soul on wealth creation, business systems, marriage, philosophy etc. Again, I would learn to be a model of leadership, especially in the area of my passion. I would aspire to international greatness with my skill. But I would not stoop to the biblical Jezebel's level. Above all, I would build a personality which would be as glorious as the sun, as meek as a lamb, and as a blameless as the snow. The list, indeed, is endless.

My dear Ghanaian ladies, you have to make your male counterparts cherish you more like their own mothers. Yes, let the Ghanaian gentlemen get convinced in heart and soul that the Ghanaian lady's worth is far above diamonds and all other precious minerals. Seek guidance from your moms, not your naive colleagues, regarding issues of relationship. I expect you to master the art of marriage before you get married. Remember, be well-focused in your way of life and shun unwholesome stuff. And I strongly believe that you will better the Ghanaian society in diverse ways. Lastly, be not ranting feminists but rather women of priceless value in your make-up.
