How Safe Is The Security Of Ghana's Presidency

Ever since the arrest of the African Drug Cleopatra, Ruby Nayeli Ametefeh, On the 10/11/2014 with 12.5kg of cocaine at Heathrow Airport, many questions have been asked and rightly so, of the lapses that occurred at the Kotoka International Airport, especially as news of how she and her two other accomplices had managed to go through the most exclusive part of GHANA'S Airport, the VVIP LOUNGE, to get onto their BA flight for that fateful or rather disgraceful trip, unchecked.

My main worry this time, has to do with the security implications this matter has for the safety of the official users of that lounge particularly the President of the republic, for whose exclusive use the VVIP is reserved.

If as claimed by reports of the event and backed by the Honourable Hannah Tetteh, the foreign minister that , a "top private business man" had made the call to the VVIP to allow Ruby and her narcotic entourage passage, then who is this shady "top private business man" with so much POWER to order behind the president's back, the use of his exclusive passage at the Kotoka International Airport. This drug peddler really must be that POWERFUL in Ghana, perhaps even more powerful than the President, for his word to be carried out as against preserving the security exclusiveness of the presidential lounge, (VVIP).

Why do I worry when Ruby had been arrested and those who helped her at the airport have all been equally held and are waiting trial?. I do so because, by Ruby's shameless refusal to name that "top private business man" whose phone call to the VVIP officers allowed her access through that exclusive lounge, to be arrested by the security services, a very dangerous drug peddler is currently at large, and has the power over the officers of the VVIP to compromise them in such a way as to allow his next batch of drug smugglers access to their plane.

The danger is even more imminent as has been shown by the recklessness of these "guns for hire" ladies, who could be hired by anybody for right amount of money to do their bidding in these days of heightened terrorism activities, just by their making a phone call to an already compromised VVIP LOUNGE officers to allow them access to our President while in the VVIP.

As long as that top private business man remains at large and can still make such calls and still compromise the staff of the VVIP, how safe is our president's security?.
