Grace Ashy, Kyeiwa Rallies Support For Women Football

Ghana's Gospel sensational songstress, Grace Ashy, alias Oba Yaa has together with versatile Ghanaian actress, Rose Mensah a. k.a. Kyeiwa are rallying all identifiable women groups in the country to support the development of women football in the country.

In the wake of the Black Queens qualification for the African Women Championship slated for Namibia in October, 2014 and the Black Princess qualification for the FIFA U/ 20 Women's World Cup in Canada, the two celebrities have paid a courtesy call on the Women's Caucus of Parliament to solicit their support for the promotion of women football especially for the Princesses as they represent the nation in the world cup next month.

According to the celebrities, women football have not been given the same publicity as that of their male counterparts hence the decision to rally support for the promotion of women football in the country.

Grace Ashy`s cheer song aimed at the promotion of women football in the country is currently receiving airplay on several Radio and Television stations throughout the country.

The leadership of the Women Parliamentarians pledged their support to the celebrities and commended them for the initiative.
